As part of the cycle of initiatives dedicated to international design and organised in the spaces of MINI&Triennale CreativeSet, the exhibition on Indian design will open on 14th December.

New India Designscape exhibition, Triennale Design Museum
Triennale Design Museum presents a selection of the most interesting and significant works by contemporary Indian designers, arranged by curator Simona Romano with the collaboration of Avnish Mehta and the installation layout by Kavita Singh Kale. "New India Designscape" will be on show until 24th February 2013 in the spaces of MINI&Triennale CreativeSet.

The works of these young Indian designers are permeated by the culture of their country but are also sensitive to western touches - a balance between tradition and innovation.
Even in design, India reveals itself as a complex country, hard to pin down into a classification and system, whose exhibition offers an overview that compares various social realities: objects based on myths and legends, revived with irony, revamped and innovative traditional items, design projects that meet the real needs of village life, and even processes or semi-finished products aimed at the urbanised, high-technology India of her major cities.
