Two exhibitions in Venice, at the Magazzino del Sale and Spazio Vedova, two additions to the vast programme of events the lagoon city will be hosting during the 2012 Architecture Biennale under the direction of David Chipperfield.

Mostra Aldo Rossi. Teatri
Fondazione Emilio e Annabianca Vedova presents two exhibitions opening at the end of June and continuing throughout the Architecture Biennale in Venice: "Aldo Rossi. Teatri", an exhibition curated by Germano Celant with installations designed by Gae Aulenti at the Magazzino del Sale and "Emilio Vedova - Lacerazione. Plurimi / Binari ’77 /  ’78" curated by Fabrizio Gazzarri at Spazio Vedova.

The "Aldo Rossi. Teatri" (Theatres) exhibition includes fifteen projects, documented in the form of studies, architectural sketches, drawings and studio and competition models, as well as items of scenery pertaining to the theme of the theatre: planned and built constructions, opera and ballet scenes and installations which architect Aldo Rossi produced between the early sixties until 1997, the year of his death.
Exhibition visitors are received in a large-scale model, 5 metres high, of the Teatro del Mondo or Theatre of the World which Aldo Rossi built for the 1979 ? 1980 Theatre Biennale.

From world-renowned masters of architecture to young designers: the events planned during the Architecture Biennale in Venice also include the awards ceremony for Next Landmark, the competition promoted by Floornature, on August 28.
