Henning Larsen Architects, Spiegel Headquarters

The construction has a U shape looking towards the city, opposed by a second building, "Ericus", designed by the same studio, with a similar U shape embracing the outdoor green space overlooking Lohsepark.
The building was built and designed in compliance with the requirements of the strictest German sustainability and energy conservation certifications and aspires to achieve gold medal status in four of the five categories of the HafenCity Umweltzeichen.
Henning Larsen Architects were appointed to design the building after winning an international competition in which 13 architectural practices were invited to participate.
