“The Heart of Eboli” will be green! From 1st to 3rd June 2017, the historic centre of Eboli will host the eco-sustainable event The Heart of Eboli - Giardini allestiti per legami animati as part of the urban renewal project entitled Radicity. The result of an idea by architect Sabrina Masala, its artistic director together with architects Emilia Abate, Mariagrazia Castiello and Francesco Rotondale, the project has involved eight Italian architects in regenerating 8 spaces in the city.
In the historic centre of Eboli eight project areas have been chosen including abandoned squares, clearings and empty urban spaces covered in weeds, which will become social meeting places and parks during the three days of the event, through the combined work of architects and gardeners. The architects involved: Studio Osa (Rome), Mario Festa (Benevento), Antonio Perazzi (Milan), Tiziano Aglieri Rinella (Dubai), Vincenzo Di Biase and Rosa Nave (Naples), Massimo Semola (Novara), Cristina Mazzucchelli (Milan) and Paola Tassetti (Civitanova Marche); have been invited to create the greenspace renewal projects and a jury of experts will assess them and award prizes. At the same time, from 1st to 3rd June, seminars, meetings with architects at work, interviews, guided tours, bike tours, ideas workshops for balconies in bloom and a gardener’s display and market will take place in the most beautiful places in the city as part of the event.
