Parma 360 Contemporary Creativity Festival

From Saturday 2 April through to 15 May 2016, contemporary creativity is being celebrated in and around Parma. This festival uses exhibitions, events, workshops and tours to explore the current buzzwords with a cross-cutting approach that involves places and people.



We often speak of art as a driver of change and of social growth. The organisers of the Parma 360 Contemporary Creativity Festival are well aware of this and are offering art to the city and its territory with an event that not only explores art in all its forms, as the name implies but also involves the population as a whole.



Inaugurated on Saturday 2 April with the public opening of Terzo Paradiso (Third Paradise), a temporary installation by Michelangelo Pistoletto in Piazzale della Pace following up the First Paradise and the Second Paradise, where the infinity symbol used in mathematics alludes to the generation of a new humanity, the Festival is presented with Circuito ON, eight exhibitions/events including installations, photography, architecture and design, video art, virtual reality, food design, music plus circuito OFF, 360 VIRAL.



And with 360 VIRAL, the Parma 360 Festival is spreading across the whole city like a virus, thanks to an extensive art pathway in the old town. A wonderful way to rediscover old and new places and more importantly to promote the artistic culture that is alive and well in the territory.



The core element of Parma 360 is engaging with the people, involving the community not only in contemporary art but in creativity in itself. An issue that was discussed on Tuesday 5 April at the Feltrinelli bookshop during the presentation of the book  “Webcreativity. Creatività e Visual Marketing post-web” with the author and Floornature portal editor-in-chief, Paolo Schianchi along with Mariagrazia Villa, specialist in New Journalism and international blogger Christiane Bürklein.
