Biennale di Venezia. Preview Arsenale

During the preview of the 15th International Architecture Exhibition La Biennale di Venice REPORTING FROM THE FRONT, curated by Alejandro Aravena, we have explored the national participations at Arsenale.



Lot of people during the first official preview day in Giardini at Arsenale where we have made a first tour to visit the pavilions and participations we will present in the coming weeks as the Biennale opens officially tomorrow and lasts until 27 November. Here you can find our first impressions, a window onto Arsenale.





We have started with Argentina in its usual place at Sala d'Armi. “experimentAR. Poéticas desde la frontera” welcomes the visitor with a big timer installation defining the exhibition space and acting as backdrop for the reflections about the territory and the materials to create architectures as answer to human needs, from shelter to spirituality.




Peru investigates with “Our Amazon Frontline” the Peruvian Amazon through visual elements that let the visitors get in touch with the mystery of its inhabitants and the impenetrable lushness of the jungle.





Turkey's “Darzanà. Two arsenals, One Vessel” is a reflection of the two great twin harbours of the Mediterranean sea, Istanbul and Venice.





“Home @ Arsenale” is the title of Slovenia's presence where Dekleva Gregorič architects present a curated library addressing notions of home and dwelling. This especially in our internet dominated world where the physical presence of a library is becoming a kind of landmark in our home.



Something we are experiencing these days where we notice that our virtual world needs the real contact and interaction with people like it happens to us, meeting a lot of friends from around the world!
