Zaha Hadid unveils plans for the fifth City of Dreams Hotel Tower in Macau.

The 40 floor hotel is a single tower block designed by Zaha Hadid Architects for Macau’s “City of Dreams” leisure and entertainment district.

Geometrically speaking, Zaha Hadid’s tower is a parallelepiped, but it is a plastic solid volume with hollows carved out of its centre.
The building’s dynamic façade is an exoskeleton completely covering the building, incorporating entrances leading into a 40 m high grandiose atrium.

The hotel tower looks like a huge sculpture integrating the traditional architectural elements of the façade, walls and roof into a huge monolithic construction defining the building’s indoor and outdoor spaces.
