The Hall of Fame award for architecture in India goes to Shirish Beri

This year’s “The Hall of Fame”, a prestigious Indian award presented in the context of the Architecture+Design & CERA Awards, goes to Shirish Beri. The Indian architect won the award for his research in sustainability and focus on the particular features of the landscape, reflecting and underlining them in his architecture.

Established in 2001, the Architecture+Design & CERA Awards are an initiative of Architecture+Design magazine of New Delhi, an authoritative architectural publication for the past thirty years.
The competition jury includes around 30 professionals and academics from India and Southeast Asia, who choose the best Indian architects of the year after a lengthy selection and voting process. The key criterion in choice of “The Hall of Fame”’s award-winning architect is the impact of candidates’ work on society and recognition of the universality of their poetics.
“The Hall of Fame” awards ceremony for Shirish Beri will take place in Istanbul in November.
