The Mandala Lab at Rubin Museum of Art in Bilbao
Under the slogan “Where emotions can turn to wisdom”, a travelling version of the famous Mandala Lab, an initiative and installation of the Rubin Museum of Art in New York, has been set up in Bilbao’s Doña Casilda Park. The pavilion designed by EXTUDIO and ENORME Studios of Madrid was open to visitors during the first Wellbeing Summit for Social Change in the month of June.

Studio Ossidiana, a floating pavilion for a museum in Almere
For M., the new Museum for Immersive Art in Almere, the Netherlands, Alessandra Covini and Giovanni Belloti, the young duo behind Studio Ossidiana, created an experimental project. A floating pavilion that appeals to all the senses and refers to the Dutch city's tradition, built on reclaimed land where the Zuiderzee once stood.

A pavilion with a focus on the circular economy by Henning Larsen
Created for the 3daysofdesign event in Copenhagen, the Fritz Hansen pavilion designed by Henning Larsen prides itself on a through and through sustainable design. Located in the garden of the Designmuseum Danmark, Grønnegården, the pavilion impresses with its focus on natural light and materials that allow it to be fully disassembled and make it circular economy-friendly.

Black Chapel by Theaster Gates is the Serpentine Pavilion 2022
From June 10, the summer programme of the Serpentine Galleries in London kicks off, with the opening to the public of Black Chapel, the 21st Serpentine Pavilion. The project is the work of Chicago-based artist Theaster Gates, with the support of Adjaye Associates for the architectural part and Goldman Sachs for the financial support. The temporary structure will be used as a space for gathering, meditation and participation, as well as hosting some of the summer events of the London gallery's live programme.

Novartis Pavilion in Basel by AMDL CIRCLE
A new pavilion designed by architect Michele De Lucchi and his architecture firm, AMDL CIRCLE, is the first publicly accessible building on the Novartis Campus in Basel, Switzerland. The Novartis Pavilion, a multifunctional architecture created in collaboration with the Blaser Butscher Architekten AG firm, features a distinctive zero-energy media façade designed by iart and houses a permanent multimedia exhibition designed by ATELIER BRÜCKNER.

NEXT500 pavilion: MVRDV for the Fuggerei in Augsburg
To celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Fuggerei in Augsburg, Germany, the world’s oldest social housing complex, studio MVRDV has designed a CLT pavilion based on the dictates of the circular economy. Inside is an exhibition about what goes on at the Fuggerei and a vision for its future, also curated by MVRDV, suggesting three proposals for helping people in need live dignified, self-determined lives.

Kossmanndejong at Floriade in Almere with The Voice of Urban Nature
On the occasion of Floriade Expo 2022, the world horticulture exhibition in Almere, in the Netherlands, creative studio Kossmanndejong and Overtreders W, Onkruidenier and Joost Emmerik designed The Voice of Urban Nature pavilion for the cities of Amsterdam and Almere. The pavilion, the gardens and the exhibition are a single unit showing how we can all live together: people, animals, plants, trees and microbes.
