SpazioFMGperl'Architettura is hosting the exhibition: Cini Boeri: Designing joy
SpazioFMGperl'Architettura, the Milan gallery of Iris Ceramica and FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti is hosting the Cini Boeri exhibition “Designing joy” from 12 December. The exhibition is curated by Luca Molinari, and it celebrates this special figure in the world of Italian design and architecture.
The projects displayed draw attention an essential concept of Cini Boeri’s architecture: “designing with respect for the human dimension and human needs”.
The exhibition at SpazioFMG will focus on some of the architect’s research, such as the book “Dimensioni umane dell’abitazione” (The human dimensions of the home, Franco Angeli, Milan, 1980) and the “Progetto Domestico” (The domestic project) first exhibited at the 1986 Triennale, as well as a selection of housing projects: including Casa nel Bosco, the House in the Woods built near Lago Maggiore in 1969 and Casa La Sbandata, a house built in La Maddalena in 2004 through to the three-level apartment in Milan (2006). It will also be showcasing some of her interior design works, including Boborelax, the armchair designed for Arflex in 1967 and Ghost, a chair for Fiam designed in 1987.
The exhibition ends with a video interview with the architect and a sneak peak at some of her works in progress and the future projects of Cini Boeri Architetti.
You need to register on Eventbrite to attend the inauguration.
