The exhibition " From Portaluppi to Castellini - Three generations of interior design" opened on March 3: the first event in the 2016 calendar at SpazioFMGperl'Architettura, Iris Ceramica and FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti’s gallery and showroom in Milan.
The exhibition is the third event in the Italia per interni series, which began in 2014 at SpazioFMG and focuses on the great Italian tradition of interior design, recognising the importance of the home and living as a key field of research of great relevance in contemporary architecture.
The exhibition, organised in partnership with Fondazione Pietro Portaluppi and curated by Luca Molinari and Alessandro Benetti, features the silent testimony of residential projects by architects Pietro Portaluppi, Pietro Castellini and Nicolò Castellini.
Furnishings, fabrics, vintage and artistic photographs, and a selection of original drawings by Pietro Portaluppi represent fragments of homes, taking over the gallery without any particular linear or chronological order. Thus SpazioFMG becomes a series of domestic spaces open to a multitude of different interpretations, telling the story of a century of Italian architecture, lifestyles and habits.
