Photography: new Next Landmark 2013 contest category
Important new developments at the second Next Landmark international contest organised by Floornature: a special category for architecture photography.
Photography is an essential way of representing architecture and its urban and natural context, mediated by the photographer?s point of view. Today?s image capturing systems make it look deceptively easy, but there is a particular something that makes an image into an architecture photograph. With a view to promotion of photography and above all photographic research in the area of new urban landmarks, the Next Landmark contest introduces a new category representing the architecture of the future and all its expressive potential, in perfect harmony with the contest?s mission of generating visibility for the work of young generations of architects.
Contest entry is free; all entrants need to do is register at contest.floornature.com. The new Photography category is open to all architects, architecture photographers and students attending a degree programme in Architecture, Design or Engineering, of any age; the submission must be a photographic work interpreting new urban landmarks in a creative, original way.
