The New Dawn of Architecture: Iris Ceramica Group at Fuorisalone 2021

In a very popular area in Milan heavily frequented by tourists and locals, between the Cathedral and Piazza Cordusio on the corner of Via Santa Margherita and the private road Via Farine, is the Iris Ceramica Group Flagship Store: a space which not only presents all the Group’s brands but provides a place for discussion, inspiration, information and interaction among key players in the world of architecture. During Fuorisalone 2021 and Milano Design Week, the Iris Ceramica Group Flagship Store will host a series of workshops and meetings focusing on the future of architecture and the architecture of the future. “Ricerca e Sviluppo in Architettura” (Research and Development in Architecture) is the key theme of the programme of events entitled "The New Dawn of Architecture" organised by the Group for Fuorisalone 2021.

The first major event on the programme, "The New Dawn of Architecture", is scheduled for September 6 at 18:00. Architect Massimiliano Mandarini will hold a masterclass on biophilic architecture entitled “HEALTHY. La ricerca su nuovi modelli di Human Design” (HEALTHY. Research into new models of Human Design) moderated by the editor-in-chief of Il Quotidiano Immobiliare. Architect Mandarini is promoter of the start-up Human Living and creator of “HEALTHY”, an installation at Superstudio Più in Via Tortona 27 set up with the involvement of a number of partners, including Active Surfaces, the antibacterial and antiviral, anti-pollutant, anti-odour and self-cleaning eco-active ceramic developed by the Iris Ceramica Group. Mandarini describes Healthy as a “pod”, a point for relaxing and recharging with regenerative energy, "an oasis of sustainable, circular, plastic-free and off-grid Human Design; empathetic modular biophilic architecture for the city and the countryside, places for taking the time to take care of yourself, with spaces for healthy lifestyles and Healthy Living” designed in response to climate change and the new normality after the Covid-19 pandemic.

The events in "The New Dawn of Architecture" continue on September 7 between 16:00 and 19:00 with a workshop entitled “PARK ASSOCIATI – PARK PLUS / Thinking Plus, Making Plus” held by architects Filippo Pagliani and Michele Rossi of Park Associati. At 18:00 on September 8 designer Paolo Castelli will talk about “SEVENTYONEPERCENT”, furnishings featuring an extraordinary aesthetic underlining ceramic as an eclectic material capable of creating woks of authentic, original design, while from 16:00 to 19:00 on September 9 a workshop on "PROGETTO CMR / Dall’Oggetto alla Città: la Ricerca come Chiave del Cambiamento" (PROGETTO CMR / From Object to City: Research as a Key to Change) will be held by architect Massimo Roj, CEO of Progetto CMR.
