The exhibition Italian architecture in the Chinese city, organised by Franco Purini and Uberto Siola to present 14 projects by Italian architects for the new Ling Gang New city in Tianjin, China, originally produced for the Italian Pavilion at Expo in Shanghai, will be at PAN in Naples until March 27 2011.



Exhibition: Italian architecture in the Chinese city From February 25 to Marh 27 PAN, Palazzo delle Arti Napoli, hosts the exhibition “L'Italian architecture for the Chinese city” presented by Franco Purini and Uberto Siola. The exhibition presents 14 projects by the Italian architects invited to propose their ideas for an urban district in the newly constructed Ling Gang New city, Tianjin, China. The exhibition, organised by the'Accademia Nazionale di San Luca and the International Foundation for Advanced Architecture Studies, was first set up in the Italian Pavilion at the Shanghai Expo to identify the theoretical and methodological contribution that Italian architectural culture could offer Chinese culture and a Chinese city undergoing rapid growth and transformation. The Italian architects who offered their ideas are:  Alessandro Anselmi, Salvatore Bisogni, Enrico Bordogna, Gianni Braghieri, Massimo Carmassi, Claudio D'Amato, Pietro Derossi, Antonio Monestiroli, Adolfo Natalini, Franco Purini, Luciano Semerani, Uberto Siola and Nicola Carrino, Laura Thermes, Paolo Zermani.
