The international competition for young designers is one of the events included in the sixth International “Design Parade 6” Festival organised by the Villa Noailles association with the support of numerous sponsors and the patronage of important French institutions.

Design Parade 6, Design Festival
The 6th International Design Festival is coming up on July 1 through 3 2011 in Villa Noailles, and the exhibitions will stay open until October 2. Different exhibitions will be held in different parts of the villa.

The exhibition about Charles and Marie-Laure de Noailles, art patrons and owners of the villa, includes works from institutional archives and private collections which are rarely seen in public, including sculptures by Giacometti and Man Ray, works by Georges Hugnet, a portrait of René Crevel by Valentine Hugo, collages by Max Ernst and "Figure Debout", a 1916 sculpture by Jacques Lipchitz which was not exhibited until 1930.

Product design is the focus of a number of exhibitions: works by the 10 finalists in the competition selected by a panel of judges under German designer Stefan Diez; Diez?s own exhibition; “Glass Scene”, a selection of contemporary glass vases and light fixtures by well-known designers including Ronan & Erwann Bouroullec, Pierre Charpin, Hella Jongerius, Jaime Hayon, Ettore Sottsass, Martin Szekely and more, and works by Adrien Rovero for Sèvres cité de la céramique and François Dumas, winner of the 2010 Design Parade.
