Singapore-based FARM studio behind the revamp of Lloyd's Inn

A boutique hotel on orchard Road, Singapore’s major shopping district, has been revamped by FARM architecture studio. An all-round project comprising both Interior Design and re-Branding.



Singapore-based architecture studio, FARM was appointed to revamp Lloyd's Inn, a Boutique Hotel on Orchard Road.

The multidisciplinary team from FARM includes architects, designers, visual communicators and they worked together to meet the client’s wishes, based on a clear premise: “Everyone is different. But whilst different, we also share a common appreciation for things of beauty and nature.”



This credo is transposed into an attentive, holistic approach, aimed at giving guests an unforgettable accommodation experience, all characterised by pure, sleek lines.

In refurbishing the rooms and redesigning the spaces, the team aimed to connect the city, hotel and traveller. It has succeeded in this, without any unnecessary frills and fancies, celebrating the construction materials – concrete and timber – into which nature always makes a welcome foray. It creeps in through the large skylights, through the intimate courtyards: and even the room names reflect how they engage with their surroundings.

Lloyd's Inn is a perfect place to regenerate after a busy day of shopping or simply experiencing the hustle and bustle of life in Singapore. The formal minimalism used by FARM is also reflected on the website and branded objects: it acts like a soothing balm after all the visual impressions of the city.
