Primo Ramo, operation by LAND architecture studio for Aquae Venezia 2015 As part of the green regeneration for the port of Maghera, Milan-based studio LAND srl directed by architect Andreas Kipar, designed Primo Ramo - first branch - symbolising the Green Tree Strategy currently taking place in Vega, the Science and Technology Park in Venice.

Milano-based Studio LAND srl again confirms its vocation for creating eco-sustainable areas that are visually appealing and meet contemporary needs at the same time. Indeed, 15 May 2015 was the inauguration of Primo Ramo - first branch - an urban planning and landscaping operation by LAND, in collaboration with “120 grammi” architecture laboratory. This project is a boulevard that connects the raised plaza of the Auriga building to the pavilion that houses “Aquae Venezia 2015”, and the restored church of “Madonna del Rosario”.

After the inauguration of the Aquae Venezia 2015 pavilion, as a collateral event of Expo Milano 2015, Primo Ramo is another element in the urban fabric of Maghera that aims to bring people to places where there is change, where things are moving, where new things - in this case the regeneration of the city - are happening. The project is part of the Green Tree Strategy supported by Andreas Kipar, a design approach based on green infrastructure and making the most of open, outdoor spaces as the basis for urban regeneration. This is a case of “injecting the lifeblood of the historical roots of Venice into the foliage in order for the branches to bloom again,” as Andreas Kipar says with reference to the symbol of the tree.

For the duration of Expo Milano 2015, the whole space has been turned into an open-air pavilion with indoor and outdoor  collateral events and installations of “Aquae Venezia 2015”. During the 2015 Art Biennale, Primo Ramo is also hosting some theme workshops of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage entitled CODICE ITALIA ACADEMY, sponsored by the Italia 2015 pavilion of Vincenzo Trione, and the exhibition "Across Chinese Bejing", collateral event of the 14th Architecture Biennale.
Just one more reason to visit Porto Marghera!
