“National Routes of Norway” exhibition by Ken Schluchtmann

German photographer, Ken Schluchtmann is showing 21 photographs of his project “National Routes of Norway” in the ZeitHaus museum of the Autostadt, in Wolfsburg, Germany. A visual story about the blend of landscape and architecture.



Ken Schluchtmann’s photographic study of the “National Routes of Norway”  is all about the majestic landscape of Norway, highlighted and reinforced by the architecture dotting the tourist routes used to explore this magnificent Scandinavian country.





This is what Schluchtmann did, travelling along more than 20,000 km of roadways at different times, from the far north to the fjords in southern Norway. And on the way, he immortalised the architectural works that the Norwegian tourism authority pushed for, to enhance the experience of travellers with gems of contemporary architecture. 





His photography won him major prizes including the ArcAid Award 2012 and 2013, object of a photography book entitled “Architecture in Norway”, part of which is being showcased for the first time at the ZeitHaus museum, in the Autostadt Wolfsburg complex in Germany.



The museum, designed by Henn Architekten, opened in 2000 and quickly became one of the most frequently visited car museums in the world. It is accommodating its guests until January 2015, with the exhibition curated by Thomas Köhler, director of the Berlinische Galerie in Berlin.
An exhibition that tells the story of the power of nature, where the action of man underscores the magic of the landscape.
