Building Images exhibition, London

The exhibition inaugurating the new Werkstatt exhibition space run by the Sto Group in London’s East End is open February 28 through April 25 2014, featuring the nine photographs nominated for the award for excellence in architectural photography.

A panel of judges including Zaha Hadid, Ivan Harbour, Catherine Slessor, Eva Jiricna and Graham Stirk awarded the “Sense of Place” prize to German photographer Ken Schluchtmann, his second prize since the initiative began in 2012. The other winners include Adam Mørk and Fernando Guerra, in the “Exterior” and “Buildings in Use” categories, respectively.
The Sto Group’s new offices and showroom are located in a renovated factory in Clerkenwell, restoring life to the Werkstatt, German for “workshop” , a gathering place for creative minds.
The photos of the space were taken by Ken Schluchtmann himself.
