- Lights in the Brenta Riviera, workshop and exhibition
Lighting design is one of those creative disciplines that the general public is especially drawn to, given that it is such a fundamental part of our life, closely connected to the sphere of emotions. Indeed, the organisers of the “Luci in Riviera” initiative use light as a narrative for the suggestive overtones elicited by the cultural heritage of the Riviera del Brenta, renowned across the world for its large villas and towns set along this waterway.
The theme of the 2017 lighting workshop for university students and young professionals that will be held in Dolo from 18 al 23 September 2017 is #luccicandoinsieme (#sparklingtogether). Promoted by the Municipality of Dolo and by Pro Loco "Pisani" Stra, Luci in Riviera is a long-term event organised by Impresa Futura Eventi, under the creative direction of lighting designer Roberto Corradini
During the week-long workshop, full-scale lighting installations will be crafted under the guidance of mentors, focusing in particular on the human perception of light. What does good lighting mean? What part can lighting play in the local tourist offer, viewing it as an emotional tool with great communicative potential?
The answers to these questions, and therefore the proposals in the field of light storytelling will be showcased from 23 September to 8 October 2017 on the streets of Dolo and along the Brenta at the end of the workshop.
