The team from Lighting Design Collective (LDC), Madrid was responsible for the lighting design of a shopping mall in Bulgaria, which received the LEED Gold rating for sustainability and reduction of light pollution.

The Bulgarian city of Burgas has a new shopping mall. This local attraction boasts stores, eateries and a multiplex cinema centre, offering visitors plenty of entertainment opportunities.

The architectural design by Laguarda.Low Architects & Studio 17.5 is complemented by the lighting design of Spain’s Lighting Design Collective LDC. The team came up with a flexible, low-energy consumption lighting system that responds to the dictates of Visual Marketing, centred on visual impact and brand experience.

Not only does this design add to the sensorial experience of visitors, it also helps improve the mall’s environmental performance, receiving the LEED Gold rating for sustainability and reduction of light pollution.

So a visit to the Galleria Burgas mall turns into a real sustainable journey through colour, where you can find inspiration for your shopping.
