The winners of Next Landmark 2016

The winners of the fifth Next Landmark international contest, promoted by Floornature.com in partnership with IUSVE, were announced on November 16. The awards ceremony was held in Berlin’s Kreuzberg district, at FAB Architectural Bureau Berlin, the exhibition space operated by the Fiandre, Ariostea and Porcelaingres brands, with the participation of a number of members of the contest’s international panel of judges.
The gallery’s innovative new installation, inaugurated in June 2016, transformed the interior into a true cinema in which Maximum Fiandre Extralite® maxi-slabs are used as screens on which images of the winning projects and the 10 projects shortlisted in each contest category were projected.

The winners of the Next Landmark 2016 contest are:
in the Landmark of The Year category: Giancarlo Mazzanti - Colombia
for Marinilla Educational Park, a place for meeting and learning, a building created to be an open space where users can perform a number of different activities;

in the Research category: Jessica Tozzi and Alessandra Lomanto - Italy
for C-C 49 Journey Through the Territories of a Disused Railway, a project focusing on reuse of the first leg (Civitavecchia- Capranica) of the abandoned Civitavecchia-Orte railway line, in harmony with the European trend toward creation of GREENWAYS;

in the Photography category: Martina Berger Garioni - Italy
for Creating The Future, a photographic project about Dubai, with its surreal images of the futuristic metropolis.
