Architecture that disappears into its surroundings. A home inspired by its natural surroundings that adapts its forms and materials to them, creating a design that is ecological in every possible way.

Wentworth House by MHN Design Union

The home designed by MHNDU is surrounded by nature and intended to ensure continuity with its surroundings. The building adapts to the shape of the hill and to its green environment, in a design that is ecological not only in terms of saving energy, but in its forms and materials as well.

The building, designed for a family with three children, is built on five main levels plus a multitude of intermediate levels that adapt to the shape of the ground. On the outside, the home is characterised by a series of vertical wooden elements which practically eliminate its visual impact.

A number of different measures have been taken to ensure the home’s sustainability: use of recycled materials, photovoltaic panels, LED lighting, passive solar strategies and cisterns for collection of rainwater.
