Vudafieri-Saverino Partners is the firm of architects behind the interior design for the new Chez Pierre restaurant in Monte Carlo. To provide a fitting setting for the culinary experience of the new restaurant managed by Pierre Baldelli, the architects have created a retro atmosphere with strong colors, mirrored walls and art deco details.

Vudafieri-Saverino Partners’ Art Deco Interior for Monte Carlo restaurant

With over 45 years of experience in the world of high-level cuisine in the UK, France and Monaco, Pierre Baldelli chose to open his first restaurant in Monte Carlo and entrusted the interior design for the establishment to the Vudafieri-Saverino Partners architecture firm. Architects Tiziano Vudafieri and Claudio Saverino successfully achieved the right balance between style, intimacy and eccentricity to create an interior design that would accompany guests through the culinary experience offered by Head Chef Stephane Goudé.
The restaurant was created in an iconic building of the Principality of Monaco, the Monte-Carlo Shopping Metropole, a luxurious shopping center built in the 1980s.
Chez Pierre offers customers of the shopping center an enveloping, secluded and whimsical space that invites you to take a break and enjoy the thrill of something new. The idea behind the design is centered on Pierre Baldelli. From the outset, the architects worked on the idea of transmitting to users his history and his passion for catering, taking them on a journey through the cities of Monte Carlo, Paris and London, all of them so vital to his training. The retro charm of the venue, with its mirrored surfaces and art deco elements, fits well into the luxurious spaces of the Metropole, which it enhances with new ideas and emotions. The experiments and innovations implemented by the architects successfully achieve a perfect balance between sinuous lines and shapes, bright colors and geometric patterns. The dining room offers 44 covers seated at tables and 4 bar stools in a retro atmosphere inspired by the 1960s. The environment is dominated by contrasts between the neutral colored walls, the optically designed floor, typical of the 1960s, and the bright colors of the other elements, including the ruby red seating.
The bar counter is the centerpiece of the restaurant and on the back wall, to amplify the space, there are images of the cities of Paris, London and Monte Carlo on antique mirrors. Materials, soft surfaces, details and lighting, all contribute to giving a sophisticated and theatrical feel to the interior design designed by Vudafieri - Saverino Partners.
