In South Africa, April is “Freedom Month”, celebrating the arrival of democracy in the country and the birth of what is known as the “rainbow nation”.

This April saw a very special anniversary: 20 years have gone by since that important date.
Coca-Cola Company is celebrating the occasion with a special installation: a building coloured with the Coca-Cola colours and logo has been fitted with mist sprayers which use recycled water and sunlight to create little artificial rainbows for the joy of passers-by(video available on youtube).
And so happenings have been taking place underneath the symbol of South Africa, a country which has been brought to the attention of the world of design and architecture this year thanks to nomination of Cape Town as World Design Capital and the UIA world convention coming up in Durban in August, where Floornature will be an official supporter.
