449 Architectural projects submitted for the Mies van der Rohe Award
The list of 449 architectural projects submitted for the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award 2022, located in 279 cities in 41 countries, was announced on February 2. 514 architectural practices compete for the European Union’s most important award for architecture, presented by the European Commission and Fundació Mies van der Rohe. For the first time, the current edition also includes works built in Armenia, Moldavia and Tunisia.

Copenhagen appointed 2023 UNESCO World Capital of Architecture
On May 5, UNESCO and the International Union of Architects (UIA) announced that they had chosen Copenhagen to be 2023 World Capital of Architecture. The Danish capital will be the world’s second city to hold the title, after Rio de Janeiro in 2020. At the same time as events celebrating its status as world capital of architecture, Copenhagen will be hosting the World Architects’ Congress, an event held by the UIA every three years.

Architects and designers awarded with the AZ Awards 2018
During a gala held at the Evergreen Brick Works of Toronto, Azure unveiled the 20 architects and designers who won the 20 categories of the AZ Awards 2018. Among the winners is the design of the multi-storey residential building The Silo, by COBE, and of the Copenhagen International School, by CF Møller Architects.
