Henning Larsen Architects and the new Moesgaard Museum in Aarhus
The archaeological and ethnographic collections of the Moesgaard Museum in Aarhus (Denmark) have a new home, designed by Henning Larsen Architects. Inspired by the experience of archaeological research, Henning Larsen Architects’ project “lifts” the green roof of the new Moesgaard Museum above the ground, hiding the building itself under a mantle of grass so that it does not interrupt the continuity of the landscape.

London architectural practice Haworth Tompkins has renovated Liverpool’s historic Everyman Theatre. The renovation of the Everyman Theatre offered an opportunity to build a contemporary icon with which the people of Liverpool could identify, a sustainable construction reusing 25,000 bricks from the old building.

The renovation and expansion of Harvard Art Museums in Cambridge, Massachusetts, completed at the end of 2014, is the latest museum project by the Renzo Piano’s Italian studio (RPBW). In Harvard Art Museums, Renzo Piano restores the existing building and completes it with a contemporary volume, joining the two with a glass roof.
