Design synergy for Kingsbury Commons at Pease Park in Austin

The Kingsbury Commons project in Pease Park, the oldest park in Austin, Texas, is part of the Pease Park Vision Plan and gives a burst of energy to a forgotten corner of the area. The project is the result of the collaboration between Ten Eyck, landscape architect and prime consultant, Clayton Korte for the architecture and Mell Lawrence Architects for the Treescape structure.

Clayton Korte’s Design Office: a conversion in Austin, Texas

Clayton Korte (formerly Clayton & Little) of Austin/San Antonio, Texas has converted a 1963 building to house two design studios: its own and that of the Word + Carr Design Group, a landscape architecture studio. The project by US firm, Clayton & Little for a small but elegant agricultural structure in California was recognised with a 2019 National Small Project Award from the American Institute of Architects (AIA). The simple, off-the-grid structure features repurposed industrial commodity parts for its structural parts.
