The twenty-seventh episode in The Architects Series will be live streamed from the new Iris Ceramica Group and Matimex Showroom in Barcelona on 1 December. This time, the cultural event organised by The Plan magazine for the Iris Ceramica Group takes us behind the scenes in the studios of Benedetta Tagliabue - EMBT Architects, followed by a lecture by architect Benedetta Tagliabue presenting the studio’s most recent projects.

In its 27th instalment, The Architects Series will feature international architecture firm Benedetta Tagliabue – EMBT on Thursday, December 1. The webinar will include the screening of the video followed by a lecture on the firm’s design approach presented by studio founder and CEO, Benedetta Tagliabue. Cersaie, International Exhibition of Ceramics for Architecture and Bathroom Furnishings

From September 27 to October 1 in Bologna, the trade fair district will host the 38th edition of Cersaie, the International Exhibition of Ceramics for Architecture and Bathroom Furnishings. An international event of great prestige that is finally able to welcome back visitors in person after the stop imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic. This year’s edition will host many important guests including architect Shigeru Ban, winner of the Pritzker Prize in 2014.

Benedetta Tagliabue - Miralles Tagliabue EMBT

Benedetta Tagliabue, currently director of Miralles Tagliabue EMBT, international architecture firm founded in Barcelona in 1994, with office in Shanghai and in Paris, has received prestigious awards for her works as the RIBA Stirling Prize in 2005, the National Spanish Prize in 2006, City of Barcelona prize in 2005 and 2009, and the RIBA Jencks Award in 2013 as acknowledgment of her major contribution internationally to both the theory and practice of architecture.

Miralles Tagliabue EMBT Le Pavillon of Romainville

The transformation of the new centre for cultural life in Romainville, a municipality in the metropolitan area of Paris, is now complete. The project by architect Benedetta Tagliabue and her studio Miralles Tagliabue EMBT in partnership with French studio Ilimelgo Architectes brings new life to the little Palais des Fêtes building, transforming the whole area into Le Pavillon, a cultural complex connected with the city, the new garden and the nearby forest.

Benedetta Tagliabue’s studio EMBT wins the Piranesi Prix de Rome for lifelong achievement

Architect Benedetta Tagliabue will receive the Piranesi Prix de Rome for lifetime achievement, representing EMBT, the architectural studio she founded with Enric Miralles. The announcement was made on 18 February 2020 following the decision of the Piranesi Prix de Rome Scientific Committee in collaboration with the Order of Architects, Landscape Architects, Planners and Conservation Workers of Rome and the province of Rome.
