Recent projects by Benedetta Tagliabue - EMBT Architects at The Architects Series

Benedetta Tagliabue - EMBT Architects is the studio featured in the twenty-seventh episode of The Architects Series, the cultural event format organised by The Plan magazine for the Iris Ceramica Group. Each episode of The Architects Series takes us behind the scenes of a famous international architectural studio. The architects themselves open the doors of their studios to reveal how and where the projects that made them famous originated, with a focus on the modus operandi and philosophy behind their work.

On 1 December, interested viewers who have registered on the digital platform of the Iris Ceramica Group will be able to watch “The Architects Series – A documentary on: Benedetta Tagliabue – EMBT”. For the first time, the screening will be live streamed from the new Iris Ceramica Group and Matimex Showroom that opened on 5 October 2022 in Barcelona. On the basis of the well-established formula of the series, the screening of the 30-minute documentary will be followed by a lecture by the studio’s founder and CEO Benedetta Tagliabue.
The architect will present the most recent projects by the studio, which, as she herself notes, works on all scales, from the "spoon to the city", following the Italian and Spanish traditions that are part of the studio’s heritage. The studio has experience in different types of projects, ranging from architecture to interiors, design, restoration and landscape design. From its offices in Barcelona, Shanghai and Paris, Benedetta Tagliabue - EMBT Architects oversees projects in various parts of the world: Europe, China, Taiwan, and more. Coming up with solutions that are poetic and always attentive to context, to establish the right balance between the client’s demands and the innovation that characterises all their work. The redevelopment of Century Square in Shanghai, “Le Pavillon” Romainville in France and Kálida Sant Pau Centre in Barcelona are only a few of the studio’s recent projects that have been presented in the pages of Floornature.
