A holistic approach to architecture, Alison Brooks at The Architects Series
The ICG Gallery London will be the setting for "The Architects Series – A documentary on: Alison Brooks Architects", the 31st episode of the exhibition format curated by THE PLAN magazine for the Iris Ceramica Group. A lesson in city design from Toronto: less digital, more common good
Last February, the city of Toronto announced its new plan for urban development of the Quayside district on the Lake Ontario waterfront. Green parks and two acres of urban forests, eight-hundred low-cost housing units, arts centres focusing on indigenous culture and a promise of zero emissions: the proposal submitted by Adjaye Associates, Henning Larsen, Alison Brooks Architects and SLA replaced the previous high-tech proposal put forward by Alphabet.

Alison Brooks – Alison Brooks Architects
Alison Brooks, founder of her own London-based practice, Alison Brooks Architects, ABA, is regarded as one of the leading architects of her generation, the only architect of the UK to have won all three of the RIBA awards. Born and grown up in Canada, she studied architecture at the University of Waterloo, and after graduating she decided to move to UK, where at the beginning she worked with the designer Ron Arad, becoming a partner in the firm.
