SuperSurfaceSpace Iris Group showroom in Moscow

SuperSurfaceSpace, the Iris Group’s new exhibition space in Moscow, opened on February 19: on the same day as Italia Per Interni. Manifesto #2, the exhibition at SpazioFMGperl'architettura, the Milan gallery run by Iris ceramica and FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti, also Iris Group brands.
The opening exhibition offers a key to interpretation of the history of contemporary design linked with the evolution of ceramics from a handmade item into an specialised, high-tech industrial product.
The name SuperSurface recalls the big porcelain slabs made by the Iris Group and their countless applications permitting innovative architectural solutions, as demonstrated in the gallery.
The space designed by Metrogramma is extremely flexible and permits a variety of different configurations to adapt to the many different exhibitions, events and workshops held there. Gallery curators for 2015 will be Olga Aleksakova and Julia Burdova of Buromoscow architectural studio.
