“The philosophy of water” is the title of an event involving three Italian designers - Paolo Schianchi, Giuseppe Chigiotti and Roberto Marcatti – and Japanese designer Junzo Yamashita during Fuori Salone in Milan.

Salone del Mobile 2011, La filosofia dell'acqua
Water, an element for all, essential to life, a promoter of culture and creativity, interpreted by four designers - Paolo Schianchi, Giuseppe Chigiotti, Roberto Marcatti and Junzo Yamashita - in an installation designed by Yamashita. A design experience structured on two levels: as an expression of cultural research connected with the cross-cultural nature of the designers and companies involved, and a bold decision to create products for the market which can be adapted to suit the lifestyles of different peoples. The event is in progress at Disegno Ceramica?s Pensieri d'Acqua showroom during the 2011 Salone del Mobile in Milan, and in collaboration with the Consulate General of Japan in Milan, the Consulate General of Italy in Osaka, the Japanese Cultural Centre in Milan, the Chamber of Commerce of Kyoto and the companies Disegno Ceramica in Italy and Naxis, Iwaki, Shogado, Maruni and Yokoyama in Japan.
