Renato Arrigo: Design and Communication in San Paolo, Brazil

The Italian Embassy in Brazil has held a number of initiatives promoting Italian excellence in view of the 2014 Football World Cup in Brazil.
The events conceived, produced and implemented by Amalia Tarallo involve the participation of a number of representative figures from the world of Italian art and culture, including Fiorella Mannoia, Mariella Nava, Mario Biondi, Domenico De Masi, etc.
In this context, on May 5 architect Renato Arrigo held a conference at the Istituto Europeo del Design (European Design Institute)in San Paolo, Brazil, on the topic of Media communications in design (creation and innovation).

The audience was welcomed by installations created specially for the occasion in the city streets near the Istituto Europeo del Design and in the spaces in front of the conference hall. On the basis of explanatory videos and public events planned and organised by Renato Arrigo, the architect addressed the general theme of communication and the possible actions for getting a target of architects involved in an event.
The conference itself became a concrete example in which the audience not only listens but progressively and involuntarily gets involved in this example of mass communication.
