Metropolis, secondary campus of the University of the Pacific in Lima

Architecture firm, Metropolis designed the recently opened building that will house the Economics faculty of Lima’s University of the Pacific. The project is structured around a large, elliptical central space that visually connects all the levels and allows natural light to flow right down inside the building.

Almost the whole building is dedicated to education but it also includes exhibition areas, a cafeteria, administrative offices, reading rooms and auditorium; parking facilities and plant rooms are located in the basement.

The exterior has a very striking, futuristic appearance, its contrasting white façade and windows looking like a black screen with rectilinear lighting elements change colour and flow into the interior like luminous crevices in the slabs.
