In the studio: photographs from 1970-2014 by Aurelio Amendola

An exhibition organised in partnership with IULM university at Triennale di Milano features the work of photographer Aurelio Amendola.
The photos on exhibit centre around on the theme of the artist’s studio. Amendola focuses on the place where works of art are conceived and created: a place that is both a self-representational space and the artist’s vital space.

The exhibition, divided into in 4 sections, allows visitors to observe the studios of famous artists from Amendola’s point of view. The artists include Alberto Burri, Renato Guttuso, Jannis Kounellis, Giorgio de Chirico, Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Michelangelo Pistoletto and Emilio Vedova; there are also unpublished photographs of artists Emilio Isgrò, Nino Longobardi and Mimmo Paladino and a section on Michelangelo (Michelangelo towards contemporaneity), whose sculptures are among the photographer’s favourite subjects.
