Design project: Bellabici

Three professionals: an architect, a designer and an expert bicycle mechanic who share a passion for cycling created the "Bellabici" design project.

The goal was to design and produce bicycles which the three professionals saw as combining quality components with elegance and simplicity, values characteristic of Italian design and everything made in Italy.

Assembled and painted by hand, the bicycles are produced in three different models with matching saddles and frames.
The starting point for the project was in fact use of special seats made by a well-known and universally appreciated manufacturer. The seat is paired with a matching frame and a number of chrome-plated parts, the handlebars at the front and the rack at the back.

"Bellabici" was selected for the "quality of its refined, intriguing design" in the Urban/E Bikes category of the Expo Bicitech Innovation Award, presented during Expobici at the Padua Exhibition Centre on September 24-26, 2011.
