Architect Simone Micheli drew inspiration from the colours and natural scenery of the bays of Porto Rotondo to create the interior design for the Blue Apartment located in the Sardinian village, a popular Italian tourist destination. Guests feel enveloped in a sinuous and elegant space, whose colours and large images on the walls recall the natural context outside.

The natural context, with the stretches of rugged rocks and the blue sea of Porto Rotondo invades every room of the apartment designed in the Sardinian village by architect Simone Micheli.
The enchanting scenery of the nearby bays of this popular Italian tourist resort is not only the main source of inspiration for the colours of the interior design created by the Tuscan architect, but it also becomes an important protagonist that adds movement and dynamism to the residential space. Images of scenic views of the famous Sardinian beaches follow one another in the main rooms of the house, developing over the entire height and width of some of the walls. Thanks to these full-wall reproductions and to the mirrored surfaces that help expand the conceived space, the physical limit disappears and the routine actions of everyday life become immersed in the evocative and striking blue frame of Sardinia.

The colour palette chosen by the architect seeks to transmit emotions and a prevalent aura of well-being in every space of the apartment. White pervades the different spaces, starting from the living area with the kitchen. Blue, the colour of calmness and tranquility, is present in different tones and bursts out of the full-length images with shades of blue sea and sky, creating a welcoming and enveloping place in which to rest in the bedrooms. Moreover, the children's bedroom is a concentration of energy and vitality, thanks to furnishings in electric yellow and pink that enliven the space. The architect shapes every space on the needs and desires connected to contemporary living, favouring the use of local materials and custom designing furnishings characterised by rounded lines.
