Masquespacio for Académia Altimira Barcelona

Masquespacio creative design studio is responsible for restyling the interior design and branding of Barcelona-based Académia Altimira, a school specialising in teaching acting and English in the capital city of Catalonia.



Visual Marketing is the core business of creative design studio Masquespacio. Since 2010,  Ana Milena Hernández Palacios and Christophe Penasse's studio has been coming up with design solutions that go far beyond traditional interior design (link), integrating the creation of warm, friendly spaces with truly detailed branding that includes the paintings on the walls and even business cards.





Their most recent project - Masquespacio's first one in Barcelona - for Académia Altamira was created to celebrate the 15^th anniversary of this teaching institution that specialises in acting and English courses. The designers proposed storytelling centred on building the person through learning, thereby making it really appealing to the institution's core users - children, teenagers and university students.





Masquespacio has designed a range of options that make the most of the natural light in the different zones, and also improve the acoustic performance of the classrooms. They adopt simple solutions like plywood for walls and sliding partition doors that can open up the space or create small nooks for one-on-one lessons. Of course, everything comes together in the matching colours that were carefully selected to give the Académia Altimira areas their own strong personality, as a positive sign for the users.
