The studios involved include such prominent names in international architecture as SOM, Dominique Perrault, REX, MVRDV and, of course, Danish studio BIG.
cross # Towers , the project proposed by BIG, consists of two towers 214 and 204 m high linked by horizontal structures: two bridges or horizontal bars at heights of 140 and 70 m, as well as connections at ground level and below ground.
Bjarke Ingels, a founding partner in BIG, underlined how the horizontal volumes permit introduction on different levels of functions which are normally reserved for the ground floor only, such as gardens and facilities for residents’ activities, and how the building as a whole will change the Seoul skyline.
