ALESSANDRO ANSELMI exhibition - Figures and fragments

The exhibition comes a year after the architect’s death, representing the ideal continuation of the exhibition entitled Alessandro Anselmi, Piano Superficie Progetto, held in 2004 in Maxxi’s temporary home, looking back over the career of the great master of Italian architecture.

The lengthy exhibition itinerary spans more than 50 years of the architect’s career with drawings, models and plans, from his earliest work with GRAU (Gruppo Romano Architetti Urbanisti) in the sixties to his plans for small towns in Calabria in the eighties and more recent projects such as Fiumicino town hall and the church of San Pio da Pietrelcina in Rome.
Exhibition curators Valentino Anselmi and Valerio Palmieri underline the most significant moments in the architect’s career in parallel with less widely known projects and figurative drawings presenting to the public not only the architect but the artist Alessandro Anselmi.
