Valero Gadan Architectes exhibition in Paris

Façades play a very important role in Valero Gadan Architectes’ recent projects, such as the Centre municipal de Santé - La Courneuve, the ZAC des Docks in Saint-Ouen, the Imagine Institute at Necker children’s hospital in Paris and Louise Michel secondary school in Epinay.

These are all complex projects, very different from one another but sharing a common trait: more use of graphics on their façades . This shared element inspires the choice of the title of the exhibition which opened recently at La Galerie de l'Architecture in Paris, “Impressions d'empreintes”.
The exhibition features a selection of works by Valero Gadan Architectes, chosen not to offer a retrospective of the studio’s work but to document its most recent projects, work still underway and plans for the future.
In these works, the architects reveal their growing interest in graphics created with use of different materials and colours on façades. Façade design becomes a key element in creation of the building’s identity and sense of belonging.
