Taller 9s: Cal Xerta paper mill, Sant Pere de Riudebitlles, Barcelona

Thanks to a project by Taller 9s, the demolition of the old Cal Xerta paper mill - a defunct, dilapidated factory in Sant Pere de Riudebitlles - was avoided, replaced by the idea to set up an interpretation centre for paper, a traditional trade linked to the valley of the River Bitlles.

FAD Awards to Architecture and Interior Design, towards the 61st edition.

The FAD Awards are undoubtedly the doyens of the architecture and interior design awards. On 19th June the winners of each award category will be announced at Barcelona Design Week. From 18th May to 1st September, the designs that are part of the shortlist for the 61st edition will go on show to the general public through the exhibition “The Best Design of the Year” at the Disseny Hub in Barcelona.

Taller9s: Sant Sadurnì Cultural Centre, library and archive

Taller 9s arquitectes designed Sant Sadurnì Cultural Centre, with a library and archive, in a Catalonian Modernist building. Taller 9s renovated a former school complex in Sant Sadurnì d’Anoia, in the province of Barcelona, in a project reconciling the historical with the contemporary.

taller 9s: new European leather centre in Igualada

Reclamation of the old Bella and Bernades factories in Barcelona’s Igualada tannery district is an urban regeneration project by taller 9s arquitectes. In the new leather centre, taller 9s arquitectes brings new life to the socioeconomic system and historic area of Igualada.
