Renzo Piano and Alvisi Kirimoto Interiors of Rai News 24 television studios
The studios of Rai News 24, Italy’s 24-hour news channel, located in the Rai production centre in Rome’s Saxa Rubra district, were recently renovated with interior design by Renzo Piano and Alvisi Kirimoto translating the evolution of the multimedia scene into architectural form and revealing some of the work that goes on behind the camera.

Whitney Biennial 2022, Quiet as It’s Kept
Under the title Quiet as It's Kept, the 2022 Whitney Biennial exhibits an intergenerational, interdisciplinary group of sixty-three artists and collectives whose dynamic works reflect the challenges, complexity and possibilities of the American artistic experience today. All between April 6 and September 5 at the Whitney Museum of American Art, designed by architect Renzo Piano and located between the High Line and the Hudson River in New York.

RPBW’s Children’s Surgical Hospital for Emergency in Entebbe
A "scandalously beautiful hospital" is how the late Italian surgeon and philanthropist Gino Strada, who passed away in the summer of 2021, described the request he submitted to architect Renzo Piano for the design of a new medical facility in Uganda: the Children’s Surgical Hospital in Entebbe, a virtuous example of good architecture, cooperation and co-design that opened in April 2021.

Renzo Piano designs a Pediatric Hospice among the treetops
A treehouse for finding relief amid the magic and natural beauty of the forest is the concept behind the pediatric hospice designed by architect Renzo Piano and his studio, RPBW, for the non-profit association Fondazione Hospice MariaTeresa Chiantore Seràgnoli Onlus. The complex is currently under construction in Bologna, next to Bellaria Hospital, and by 2022 it will be ready to become a Regional Reference Centre for Pediatric Palliative Care in the Region of Emilia Romagna.

The winners of the 2020 Italian Architecture Award
On June 30 MAXXI National Museum of 21st Century Art hosted the awards ceremony in the first edition of the Italian Architecture Award, promoted by MAXXI and Triennale Milano with the support of the Italian Culture and Tourism Ministry. On the podium, two women architects: Francesca Torzo with "Z33 House for Contemporary Art, Design and Architecture" and Lucy Styles with "Home Sweet Home". Architect Cino Zucchi was awarded an honourable mention for the Lavazza Headquarters, while the Award for Lifetime Achievement went to architect Renzo Piano.

Premio Italiano di Architettura 2020 Award for Lifetime Achievement assigned to Renzo Piano
Triennale di Milano and Maxxi, the National Museum of 21st Century Arts in Rome, with the support of MiBACT, the Italian culture ministry, held the first edition of Premio Italiano di Architettura, the Italian Prize for Architecture, in 2020. The first prize to be presented is the Award for Lifetime Achievement, which goes to Renzo Piano, the 1998 Pritzker Prize winning architect with a life-long appointment to the Italian senate. The awards ceremony will be held at Maxxi in Rome on June 30, on the occasion of the opening of the YAP Rome at MAXXI 2020 project, when the winners in the categories for the best built projects will be announced.

Renzo Piano exhibition: The Art of Making Buildings
On its 250th anniversary, from 15th September the Royal Academy of Arts will present a large exhibition dedicated to architect Renzo Piano and the projects created by his RPBW studio. It is the first complete exhibition dedicated to the Italian architect to take place in London since 1989.
