Mazzanti: Timayui elementary school

Giancarlo Mazzanti’s plan for a new elementary school is based on the idea that architecture can become a tool for the rebirth of a neighbourhood, an instrument of social cohesion and of pride in belonging to a place. If the building also offers an example of optimal use of energy resources, the project is worth a mention in the Fassa Bortolo Prize for Sustainable Architecture.

The Renzo Piano Foundation chooses Iotti + Pavarani Architetti

Iotti + Pavarani have won the award for Italian talents under 40, selected by Renzo Piano. The award is promoted by the Italian Architecture and Criticism Association(AIAC), chaired by Luigi Prestinenza Puglisi.

Torino, Architetture Rivelate award

“Architetture Rivelate” – Revealed Architectures - is an award presented annually since 2004 by the Order of Architects of Turin to encourage qualified demand in the city, a plaque for award-winning buildings to make good examples of architecture easily recognisable even to the non-expert eye.

Bernard Tschumi, Acropolis museum, Athens

One of 6 finalists for the 2011 Mies van der Rohe Prize for European Contemporary Architecture, the new Acropolis Museum in Athens was awarded the 2011 AIA Institute Honor Award for Architecture by the prestigious American Institute of Architects.
