Filmmak-Her, an exhibition about women in film, combining the seventh art with the art of illustration
16 October saw the opening of Filmmak-Her, an exhibition paying tribute to women filmmakers through illustration. The association 24FPS asked nine Italian women illustrators to portray twenty-four female filmmakers – from Alice Guy-Blaché to Laura Samani – painting not only their faces, but their poetics, their careers, and the political and social transformations that affected those women and their works, both of which played a key role in "two of the greatest revolutions of the twentieth century, the revolution in images and the revolution of women".

Lectio magistralis by Anna Heringer in Parma
In the enchanting setting of the Teatro Farnese in Parma, architect Anna Heringer will hold the lectio magistralis entitled "La sostenibilità è amare ", which will kick off the 16th edition of the Il Rumore del Lutto event. The event was organised by the Order of Architects of Parma and by the AMA (Mendrisio Alumni Academy) in collaboration with Il Rumore del Lutto, curated by Francesco Di Gregorio and Eleonora Caggiati, with the patronage of the Federation of Architectural Orders of Emilia Romagna.

La Ville Engloutie, a film about the city for the Insostenibile series
What future does a city have when the major industries that keep its economy going have shut down? Anna de Manincor addresses the question in her documentary La Ville Engloutie, selected by the Order of Architects, Planners and Conservationists of Parma for "Insostenibile", a series of films conceived and presented by 24FPS, a non-profit association for social development.

I FARNESE. Architettura, Arte, Potere exhibition in Parma
In Parma, a large exhibition explores the use of the arts as a tool for legitimising power through the works created between the 16th and 18th centuries and commissioned by the important Farnese family. The exhibition also saw an important commitment on the part of the Order of Architects of Parma, both as regards the thematic core dedicated to architecture, as well as in the promotion of initiatives that bring citizens closer to architecture such as the "FarneSiamo" programme aimed at young people.

Carlo Ratti and Italo Rota design The Greenary Mutti House in Parma
A 10-metre-tall ficus tree is the absolute protagonist of the living space of the new private residence designed by Carlo Ratti Associati in collaboration with architect Italo Rota in Montechiarugolo, in the province of Parma. The client is Francesco Mutti, CEO of the Italian company of the same name, European leader in the production of preserves and tomato-related products.

Visioni del Sacro - Dialogo tra Letizia Battaglia e Mario Botta in Parma
The Order of Architects, Planners, Landscape Architects and Conservators of Parma, in collaboration with AMA (Accademia Mendrisio Alumni) is organising, as part of the program of the 15th edition of the "Il Rumore del Lutto" (The Sound of Mourning) event, a conference - dialogue between photographer Letizia Battaglia and architect Mario Botta, set to take place on October 9. The two professionals have been asked to discuss and talk about the role of mourning and of the sacred in their artistic experience: Letizia Battaglia through her black and white photographs, precious testimonies of the search for a truth beyond the violence imposed by the Mafia and Mario Botta, who has made the sacred the primary matrix of his many architectural projects.

KilometroVerdeParma, reforesting together along the motorway
The KilometroVerdeParma project was launched in 2015 by a group of people and based on an idea: to create a tree-lined corridor along the 11 kilometres of the A1 motorway that crosses Parma to redevelop the environment of one of the busiest stretches of motorway in Europe.

The programme is not the original one: new meetings have been added, in which architecture also plays a leading role. The topics addressed offer new food for thought to stress the importance of green spaces, both in cities and in workplaces.

Matteo Thun and Luca Colombo project reinterprets traditional rural forms of architecture to create the innovative volumes of the new factory and headquarters of the Italian company Davines just outside Parma. The values of sustainability and beauty representing the company’s core business are given architectural form in the new complex, which has been nicknamed “the home of sustainable beauty”.
