Jerez de los Caballeros is a town in Extremadura, Spain, with thousands of years of history behind it. ISMO Arquitectura planned the redevelopment of the house where explorer Vasco Núñez de Balboa was born for use as an interpretation centre, aiming to make it an integral part of the museum-town.

Trabocco, a Room Over the Sea by Studio Zero85
Pescara, Italy. The Adriatic coast is home to the “trabocco”, a traditional "fishing mechanism" consisting of a wooden platform extending out over the sea. Studio Zero85 transformed one of these traditional constructions into a habitable room, giving it a new function and a new image.

Port Ludlow Residence by Finne Architects
Port Ludlow Residence is a modern compact house of 230 square metres built on the wooded waterfront of the Puget Sound, near Seattle in the state of Washington, USA. The design, directed by architect Nils Finne, has a large glass and aluminium veranda which looks onto the water.
