Milan and its Expo: revitalisation of the Darsena area
The redevelopment project for the Darsena area is part of a revitalisation plan including canals, cycle tracks and adjacent pedestrian paths on the western side of Milan. In preparation for Expo 2015 waterways will be used to connect Milan with the park and the Expo site itself, with the intention of leaving behind a sustainable mobility network for tourism and leisure use and a renewed landscape for the city.
