Architecture and landscape form a perfect union in the design of the new distillery and visitor centre of the celebrated Scotch whisky Macallan designed by architectural firm Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners. The project has received numerous awards and was selected as one of the six finalists of the RIBA Stirling Prize 2019.
The American Institute of Architects (AIA) has announced that architect Richard Rogers will be presented with its 2019 Gold Medal, acknowledging the British architect’s long career and his influence on the theory and practice of the discipline.
The list of the six finalist projects of the RIBA Stirling Prize was published on 20 July. This Prize is the highest profile architectural award in Great Britain, whose winner will be announced on 31 October 2017.
