HGEsch exhibition: House and Horizon - Transformations at the Aedes Architecture Forum, Berlin

From March 20 to May 13, 2021, in Berlin, the Aedes Architecture Forum opens its doors to the public, providing an opportunity to explore the transformation of urban spaces through the work of famous photographer and filmmaker HGEsch. Transformation is, indeed, a recurring theme in HGEsch's research work. The main subjects of the new exhibition are the former headquarters of the Osram company in Munich, designed by architect Walter Henn, and the large-format panoramic images of a number of important global metropolises including Doha, Dubai, New York, Beijing and, of course, Berlin.

Until February 17 Architektur Galerie Berlin hosts an exhibition about the work of Kawahara Krause Architects, founded in Hamburg in 2009 by architects Tatsuya Kawahara and Ellen Kristina Krause. The exhibition illustrates the studio’s design philosophy in a series of working models and a site-specific installation made out of paper ribbons.

Partly conceived as a “working office”, the exhibition gives some insight into the past and present German projects of the studio founded in 1992 by Winy Maas, Jacob van Rijs and Nathalie de Vries.
